The all-electric Tata Harrier EV made its debut at the ongoing Expo. Yes, Tata’s midsize SUV is going electric and we can’t wait for it. It gets styling changes that preview the facelifted model, more tech, and most importantly, a greener heart. You will catch it up at Tata’s pavilion, but if you aren’t heading to the expo, stick around as we explain about it in our gallery.

At the front, the Harrier EV’s restyled fascia gets a closed-off grille with a LED strip on top of it running along the entire width. Below it are the restyled bumpers, featuring sharper housings for the new triangular headlamps.

No major changes on the side profile of the EV. However, this being a near production version has its door handles missing for a flush look, while the alloys have been restyled as well.

Moving on to the rear, the Harrier EV features tail lamps that are more sharply styled and now connected by a LED strip. You also get bold ‘HARRIER.EV’ badging and a chunky rear bumper with a silver skid plate.

All these design updates you saw in the above images preview the changes Tata Motors will make to the facelifted ICE model. You can read more about it in our detailed story.

Inside, the Harrier EV’s overall dashboard layout hasn’t changed much as compared to the existing model, but there are plenty of new features to speak of.

First and foremost is the new 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system that gets a much slicker user interface. Plus, the EV will get a 7-inch digital driver’s display replacing the semi-digital binnacle. Also, ambient lighting now flanks the panoramic sunroof for better ambience.

Another main feature addition in the SUV is the presence of ADAS. This will be joined by existing features like power driver’s seat, ventilated front seats, drive and terrain modes, electronic parking brake, and a JBL sound system. Safety should be taken care of by multiple airbags, electronic stability control, and a tyre pressure monitoring system.

Technical specifications of the Harrier EV are still under wraps. But what we do know is that it will get dual motors, making the SUV an all-wheel drive model. Plus, the Harrier EV is touted to offer a real world range of around 400km.

The Tata Harrier EV is expected to go on sale later this year. It’s expected to be priced near the Rs 30 lakh mark, making it an alternative to models like the MG ZS EV and BYD Atto 3.
